ReZoom ™ IOL Lenses

Offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Ada, Elk City, Muskogee and throughout Oklahoma

Do you depend on glasses to perform your daily activities? Are you nearsighted? Have you perhaps reached the age when reading glasses or bifocals have become a necessity in life? Presbyopia happens to all of us at some point, and in fact, vision problems in general plague many of us, and in the past there were only a few solutions.

In recent years, there have been several dramatic breakthroughs in vision correction, and many people can now be entirely free of glasses or contact lenses. In a highly sophisticated surgical procedure, it's possible to have an accommodating lens implanted in place of your natural lens.

At BVA, we have a variety of possible solutions you could choose from, which would all relieve you of having to depend on glasses in most situations. If you need to have cataract surgery, if you have presbyopia, or if you're severely nearsighted, a ReZoom™ intraocular lens (IOL) could be a great solution for you.

What a ReZoom™ IOL can do

A ReZoom ™ IOL is an acrylic multifocal lens which enhances near, intermediate, and far vision. By replacing your natural lens, it can liberate you from glasses or contact lenses. It uses technology which refracts (bends) light coming into the eye into five different optical zones. Whatever type of lifestyle you have, you'll be able to see clearly at all distances.

It is manufactured by Advanced Medical Optics and was approved by the FDA in March, 2005. It requires no mechanical movement to provide near and far focusing, and does not work with the eye muscles which control the natural lens. It has a patented optic design which creates a clear image of both distant objects and near objects.

If you need cataract surgery, a ReZoom ™ lens can replace your clouded natural lens and give you clear vision at all distances. Or if you're severely nearsighted or have presbyopia, and would like freedom from readings glasses, bifocals or contact lenses, perhaps an IOL would be a great solution. Call or email us to arrange for a consultation. We can examine your vision and make a determination as to which type of IOL would be best for you.
