Vision for Humanity
Offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Ada, Elk City, Muskogee and throughout Oklahoma
Taking
care of people with vision problems is the core mission of
the BVA physicians and staff, especially cataract surgery.
It’s our life work and we love it.
For
some among us, however, the future can be especially dim.
For cataract patients who are low-income and too young or
too poor for Medicare, sight-restoring cataract surgery had
been a dream….until Dr. Henry and the BVA surgeons and
staff created Vision For Humanity in the summer of 1999. Each
year since then, a volunteer effort has provided free cataract
surgery services to those in need in communities served by
BVA. Local optometrists and local surgery centers have provided
free services to hundreds of deserving Oklahomans.
In
addition to Vision For Humanity, BVA surgeons are eager participants
on Medical Mission trips to provide eye surgery to patients
in faraway places. Recent mission trips have been to Costa
Rica, Peru and Guatemala.

your services for next year, contact Sheila Nakvinda at the

income standards.
