Dr. Britton is one of the most experienced board-certified refractive eye surgeons in Oklahoma and the United States, specializing primarily in LASIK and cataract treatments. In fact, he has been recognized as one of the top 50 surgeons in North America and has trained eye doctors in Canada and the United States on various refractive procedures.

Dr. Britton is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He also maintains memberships in the Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

In addition to his practice as an eye surgeon OKC and his work training other eye doctors, Dr. Brad Britton gives back to people in need by supporting and joining medical mission trips. He has been part of several trips to Guatemala, where he continues to serve local communities through expert surgical care.

Fields of Expertise

Over the years, Dr. Brad Britton has become a recognizable leader in LASIK and the treatment of cataracts. Since the start of his career, he has performed more than 36,000 cataract surgeries and over 24,000 LASIK procedures. His patients include members of his family and dozens of referring doctors. He has even chosen to undergo LASIK to improve his own eyesight.

In addition to the treatment of cataracts and LASIK procedures, he excels at specialized procedures related to LASIK surgery. These alternative procedures may be a more appealing option for patients depending on their individual needs.

As an eye surgeon Oklahoma, he is one of a handful who has the certification to use Visian implantable collamer lenses (ICL). An implantable collamer lens is an alternative to LASIK that can permanently correct vision without the removal of natural tissue. Visian ICL works well for people who have myopia or nearsighted vision problems.

Additionally, Dr. Britton is Summit and VISX trained in photorefractive keratectomy (PRK). This FDA-approved procedure alters the shape of the cornea to correct vision issues. Photorefractive keratectomy is very similar to LASIK since the procedure uses a laser to correct vision. PRK is beneficial for treating farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism.

If you have ever wondered what life without glasses or contacts would be like, our team would be happy to discuss LASIK or any related alternate procedures with you.
