Don Nguyen, M.D.

Dr. Don Nguyen is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist. He was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was valedictorian at Edmond Santa Fe High School and attended the University of Oklahoma for undergraduate and medical school.

His ophthalmology training includes residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and a Glaucoma fellowship at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford under the tutelage of the renowned Dr. Kuldev Singh and Dr. Robert Chang.

His areas of interest include minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, differentiating high myopia from glaucoma, using advanced imaging modalities for earlier detection, and more precise treatment of glaucoma. He enjoys connecting with his patients on a personal level and catering each individual’s treatment plan to their own level of disease and situation.

Dr. Nguyen has been trained to comprehensively treat and manage all glaucoma in a variety of ways, including medication, lasers, and surgery. He also enjoys performing cataract surgery to help restore vision for patients. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and trying new restaurants. He is also a die-hard Thunder and Sooner fan.

Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
